For the year 2009-2010 the post graduate will explore a third capital of South-America. The programme will be developed in partenariat with the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile - Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseno y Estudios Urbanos 

the relation territory / city

The compact colonial city is developing quickly absorbing the natural territory around. How to stay in a urban dynamic to answer to the growth of the population and valorize and preserv the ecology of the territory?

the relation city / nature

Santiago was developped between the sea and the mountain. But the nature was also integrated inside the city through parks, green streets. How to better take into account natural elements in the contemporary urbanization?

the relation mobility / ways of life

Recently was developed an integrative system of public transport articulating different buses and the subway.Due to the technocratic conditions of creation of this system, big social problems resulted. One of the main goals is to analyse how to qualify mobility  and to connect it to urbanity in order to ameliorate citizens daily life.

the relation morphology/density

During its urban expansion, the city continuated to be structurated around urban grids starting from the colonial orthogonal system of steets until the recent diffused suburban district. But the continuity have been cut by the high speed ways of displacement creating an "archipelago" of inhabited islands. How to imagine a new way to connect the urban elements?
